This longtime client in her 60s visits regularly for gray hair coverage and her signature bob haircut. She loves a clean, elegant shape around the jawline and prefers her bob to feel full and substantial rather than light or heavily layered.

For her haircut, I keep the design close to a classic one-length bob without excessive thinning. This preserves the weight of the hair and creates the clean, polished silhouette she loves.

Her color requires a different kind of balance.

Because she has visible gray hair, going too dark would create a strong contrast when the white roots begin growing back. Instead, we use customized fashion gray coverage—covering the gray while keeping the overall color soft and bright.

The percentage of gray hair, hair thickness, and desired brightness all affect color selection. When gray coverage is important, simply choosing a brighter shade does not always produce a better result.

✨ Professional Tip:
For many clients with a higher percentage of gray hair, level 6–7 can be a useful starting range for creating softer coverage without making the overall result unnecessarily dark.

Fine hair may accept a brighter formula more easily, while thick and resistant hair can require a lower level or stronger pigment for reliable gray coverage.
