There are a few things which have surprised me about this text which I was very much not expecting. The main is the eloquence and philosophy of the author and more specifically Frankenstein's daemon. The question that both the text and the creature pose force the reader to consider morality, ethics, and also practical elements of society and learning.

I wonder what else this book has in store for us? Perhaps a tragic ending or a moral lesson? Or maybe a positive ending? I have never read this before and so I genuinely do not know how it ends.

We will have to see.
