Hello! Today’s video is about sea creatures, the stories we tell ourselves about nature, and why the downfall of dolphins is good for all of us!

(Please note: this is a hyperbolic statement and portions of this video are humorous to the aim of making a nuanced argument - dolphins as creatures are highly complex but the narratives we have about them and all wildlife, have historically done serious damage to their wellbeing. On this channel, we support the dignity and honor of all animals but do delight in the downfall of our human centric narratives of nature. Consequently you will hear a lot of humorous engagement with the narratives like “nobody wants to wear a Tubeworm necklace” these statements are in reference to how we culturally think of these animals, not how we SHOULD think of them. Finally, statements made about the freaky nature of dolphins is made not to discourage anybody from an interest in them, but to de-sanitize their narrative status and make the case that all biological life is highly complex and we cannot virtue hoard any of them above their counterparts.
