Just Wild Enough | An Autumn Walk in Saskatchewan

Come along with Aly and me for a quiet autumn walk as we explore a new trail close to home in Saskatchewan. 🍂

Along the way, I find some old stone and concrete that makes me wonder about the history of this little place, reflect on growing up in Lancashire’s “Valley of Stone,” and think about the rather different experience of being surrounded by nature in Canada, where there are a few more creatures to be wary of!

I also talk about something I’ve been noticing lately: how calming it can be to immerse ourselves in nature without necessarily disappearing deep into the wilderness. Sometimes simply being among the trees, hearing the leaves and birds, and stepping away from roads and houses for a while is enough to feel a little more grounded.

I finish our walk with Proverbs 16:45 and its beautiful reminder about generosity, refreshing others, and being refreshed ourselves.

A little autumn, a little history, a little wildness, and a gentle return to ordinary calm. 🍁
