ASMR - Why Labyrinth is the perfect movie (educational ASMR)

Hey friends I really hope you enjoy this video! Labyrinth was kind of a big movie for me growing up, I really loved it. It was one of those movies I would kind of obsessively watch over and over hahahaha.
- I'm actually really happy that I get to share my opinion of this, because I have formulated this in my mind for years. Growing up, watching this over and over. I know that most of the ideas present here are fairly simple, and can be found out through initial research - still: reaching an emotional connection to the ideas took time. Synthesizing a deeper emotional rather than intellectual connection took a long time. I do think this difference is important, especially considering how we value ideas. Intellectualism after all is only the rider on the elephant, while the elephant itself is emotion. Appeal to emotion and you appeal to the spirit. I really hope you enjoy this!
- Another note: soz for the lighting, it got a bit late in the day but I was feeling passionate about the subject, so I decided to film. I hope you don't mind, and can find relaxation. Perhaps even the dim lighting may create a sense of relaxation in you. Whatever happens, stay Gucci. Love you.

Labyrinth is a 1986 musical dark fantasy film directed by Jim Henson, with George Lucas as executive producer, based upon conceptual designs by Brian Froud. It revolves around 16-year-old Sarah's (Jennifer Connelly) quest to reach the center of an enormous otherworldly maze to rescue her infant brother Toby, whom Sarah wished away to Jareth the Goblin King (David Bowie). Most of the film's significant characters, apart from Bowie and Connelly, are played by puppets produced by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

The film started as a collaboration between Henson and Froud following their previous collaboration The Dark Crystal. Terry Jones of Monty Python wrote the first draft of the film's script early in 1984, drawing on Froud's sketches for inspiration. Various other scriptwriters rewrote it and added to it, including Laura Phillips, Lucas, Dennis Lee, and Elaine May—although Jones received the film's sole screenwriting credit. It was shot on location in Upper Nyack, Piermont, and Haverstraw, New York, and at Elstree Studios and West Wycombe Park in the United Kingdom.

The New York Times reported that Labyrinth had a budget of $25 million. The film was a box office disappointment, grossing $12.9 million during its U.S. theatrical run. It was the last feature film Henson directed, and the poor reception contributed to a difficult period of Henson's career, according to his son Brian Henson. It was met with a mixed critical response upon its release, but it has since gained a large cult following. Tokyopop published the four-volume comic sequel Return to Labyrinth between 2006 and 2010. In January 2016, it was announced that a remake was in development,[3] which screenwriter Nicole Perlman described as more of a "spin-off" in the same fictional universe.[4]

Labyrinth is a soundtrack album by English musician David Bowie and South African composer Trevor Jones, released in 1986 for the film Labyrinth. It was the second of three soundtrack releases in which Bowie had a major role, following Christiane F. and preceding The Buddha of Suburbia. The soundtrack album features Jones' score, which is split into six tracks for the soundtrack: "Into the Labyrinth", "Sarah", "Hallucination", "The Goblin Battle", "Thirteen O'Clock", and "Home at Last".

Personally I really love ALL of the songs on the album, and I can never seem to get the lyrics of magic dance and chilly down OUT OF MY HEAD. CHILLY DOWN WITH THE FIRE GANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The amount of times I have listened to the soundtract is really intense. The only other soundtract I have listened to this much may be 'the dark crystal' or 'star wars' or possibly 'Harry potter' or 'the lord of the rings'. All of these I played on repeat growing up. In fact the dark crystal soundtract inspired me to learn the instrument called the ocarina! Though, that is a tale for another video.
