Ready to hang out with the most characterful character of characters? I jest, I jest. I probably say more lines in this video than Kliff does in the entirety of Crimson Desert… but I’ve been having a great time playing it! Plus, it was never billed as a RPG, so, as shallow as the story might be, there’s a lot to have fun with, in my opinion. But some of those bosses, Jesus Christ…
Anyway, in this Kliff from Crimson Desert ASMR roleplay, you’ll be kept warm by the fire as Kliff explains to you how to defend yourself with combat basics (in a dodgy Scottish accent). There are some questionably-relaxing blade sharpening sounds bookending the roleplay, but in between there’s lots of soft-spoken instruction, explanation, all the while accompanied by a roaring fire and howling, icy wind. 🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses – even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
