A Softly Spoken "Slightly" Belated Update from Springbok ASMR

Timing is a funny thing, but amor fati--we can love our fate and find meaning where we share love. On April 1st, the day I decided to return to YouTube, I got a medical update that means I will be undergoing a bit of treatment that may change my uploading plans just a little. I still have every intention of creating content, however there may be little gaps here and there and I'd ask you not to panic--I may just need a little extra rest at times.

If anything, I'm even more grateful to have this joyful space to share with you all. But, because it will inevitably alter how I may appear over the coming months, I wanted to just get out ahead of it so I don't cause any worry or speculation. I've learned that silences over something can actually say far more than words.

I have lymphoma, a very treatable kind of cancer and I don't want a single one of you to worry for a second over it. I am okay. I will be okay. But if you see me wearing wigs or losing weight or looking a bit different over the months, it's simply part of my journey to heal. It's a bit too tender for me to speak about further right now, but if you are going through illness, or nursing someone through illness, please know my heart is with yours in any way it can be.

Finally, I wanted to say one more word about my Dad, whom I mention in this update: he recently passed from a very different and far more horrible kind of cancer. I say he was sometimes closed off, but he was also brave, brilliant, and indefatigably devoted to the dream of goodness. He often read the kind things you all said and he told me it helped him see good on the internet, where he (sort of flippantly) remarked he hadn't seen it before.

So now I've brought you one totally ludicrous Chocobo video and one really gooey, mushy update--the day-old banana bread of updates, if you will--I promise some real tingles, real soon loves.
