Would you find this soothing? 😌
The muscle I'm working on here is the sternocleidomastoid (SCM). It runs down the front and side of your neck and often becomes tight from spending hours looking down at a phone or sitting at a laptop.
When it becomes tense, it can contribute to: • Neck stiffness • Tension headaches • Reduced neck movement • Aching around the jaw and behind the ears
Gentle, careful massage of the SCM can help it relax, reduce tension, and leave the whole neck feeling lighter.
⚠️ The front of the neck is a sensitive area, so this type of work should always be performed gently and with a good understanding of the anatomy.
Would you let someone massage the front of your neck, or would it make you feel too vulnerable? 👇
