ASMR means Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response refers to the perception of a tingling, pleasant sensation on the skin (so-called tingles); often experienced in a similar way to gentle electrostatic discharges. It typically starts on the scalp at the back of the head and moves along the neck and upper spine to the shoulder area. For most people, this sensation is associated with relaxation, calming and a sense of well-being. Many people find ASMR helps them fall asleep.
Mouth sounds and breathing noises are tingling triggers among many others.
