3 Tips To Help You Cope With Anxiety

In this video I am going to share 3 of the most effective strategies for reducing anxiety.
It is estimated that 3.6 % of the global population suffer from anxiety. Anxiety is however very treatable. The strategies that I am going to share in this video are based on CBT treatments for anxiety which have been shown in research trials to be the most effective treatment for a range of anxiety problems.
If you are struggling with mild to moderate anxiety each of these strategies will bring you some relief from your symptoms of anxiety. If you practice all 3 your symptoms should resolve. If you are struggling with more severe symptoms of anxiety or if you are also struggling with other mental health problems (e.g. depression, self-harm, ocd, eating disorders) they you will probably need some professional help to recover from your difficulties.
In summary the techniques involve, restructuring the thoughts that are triggering your anxiety, using your breathing exercises to turn off your sympathetic nervous system and turn on your parasympathetic nervous system and using graded exposure to tackle anxiety driven avoidance.
