This is the 5th of 8 videos in this video therapy course for Anxiety.

In this video I am going to show you how to swap the thoughts that are causing your anxiety for thoughts that will create calmness and confidence.
You will need a piece of paper and a pencil.

There are 5 steps in this process and will I talk you through each one in detail in the video, but here are the highlights:

1. State your anxiety provoking thoughts as if you could hear your thoughts spoken out loud.
2. Collect all the evidence that supports this thought regardless of how rationale it seems
3. Find an alternative view on each of these pieces of evidence
4. Work out if you are using any of the thinking inaccuracies from video 4
5. Pull together all this information, consider what you would say to a friend in this position and create an alternative thought that will trigger feelings of calmness and confidence.
