So, I ain’t Greek, I ain’t a barber, and I certainly ain’t no philosophomer, but here’s a relaxing haircut and shave roleplay with Zeno of Citium (who has a pretty strong, confusing Welsh accent).
It’s kinda pretentious and arrogant, but I will say that this is mainly just a talk about semantics – being stoic and following Stoicism. But it was a good chance to include a LOT of positive affirmations, and supportive soft-spoken words of encouragement. At the heart of it is a message of understanding for people who are locked in what is typically a masculine trap, but not limited by gender norms – repressing emotions, disregarding praise, projecting compliments, or simply not being honest about how you feel. So, along with relaxing clipping sounds, mic scraping, and a doddery, middle-aged Welshman, I hope you find a message that resonates with you and reminds you to be kind to yourself. Because you should at least be able to rely on you, but also allow yourself to trust and rely on others too. BLEURGH ENJOY.

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses – even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
