Here is what I suggest for the gathering
Tokyo Sports Cafe

It's basically a big expat sports bar. Reasons are:
1. It's close to the place (here is where the partner event is http://ow.ly/5cKeT here is where the bar is - http://ow.ly/5cKdL )
2. It's not as pricey as bars/clubs in Roppongi
3. It offers meals for those who want to eat.
4. Relatively well lit, not a club so possible to have conversations
5. Not a sleazy pick up bar but plenty of those are nearby
6. It's a Saturday so we don't want to try and meet somewhere too overcrowded
I think even if it doesn't work out, it is a good initial meeting point and we can go down the road to the hub if this isn't so great.
