Medical Massage for Relaxing Muscle Tension (with Physical Assessment) 🩺 ASMR Roleplay
We're going to tick away at your muscle tension by assessing your head/neck relationship with a palpation exam and some range of movement tests, and then dive right in. This is an informal sequel to the "Sleep Clinic" video posted before this one, in that you are referred from said Sleep Clinic!
Our ramble topic is: Native American history of Iowa from when humans stepped foot in Iowa around 13–14,000 years ago up until a couple hundred years ago. (Why ramble about something random? Typically, narrating actions would get repetitive/boring after 10–15 minutes, which leaves 30–35+ minutes of dead air, and commenters wanted more speaking, so I started talking about things I found interesting, and people were really into it, and thus it had been implemented as a permanent fixture.)
My apologies for any mispronunciations; I learned most of my info from reading, which isn't great about showing correct pronunciation, and what pronunciation I did learn came from Crash Course Native American History, of which the link can be found in the "Sources" section down below.
My particular interest in Native American history of Iowa lies in the Woodland period primarily, but I felt like a huge chunk of important history lies with the War of 1812 and the Black Hawk War so I did a simple retelling of those events. It's not the focus and not a deep dive, so I don't get all the details, just the basics.
I talk about a quote attributed to Black Hawk and apparently embellished a lot, but what the actual quote is, in regard to the treaty he signed in 1816 with the United States ceding lands is: “(the) whites were in the habit of saying one thing to the Indians and putting another thing down on paper.” The source for this quote is listed as from “The Black Hawk War of 1832 (2007)” by Patrick J. Jung on page 53 and “Black Hawk: The Battle for the Heart of America (2006)” by Kerry A. Trask on page 73.
