Speaking with a Split-Tongue— Does this body modification impact speech?

Many people have asked how my split-tongue effects my speech.
It did at first and I had a lisp when I initially spoke.
I intentionally practiced pronouncing my words and doing tongue exercises to re-build the muscles every day.
After the first month, the lisp was eliminated because my tongues were strong enough to communicate as before.
Practice and patience— sounds redundant, but it is crucial.
