Ep. 15 Write-up:
Our heroes returned to Harmon Kost to tell him that Wyvern Tor had been cleared of orcs, and made their way to Agatha the banshee’s hidden forest home. Despite attempting to entreat the spirit with more gifts, she did not make a reappearance. The party returned to Phandalin to find that Daelin was now wanted for the murder of Sildar Hallwinter. Apparently, someone matching his description had come into town and killed Sildar, but the body had mysteriously disappeared.

Gundren believed his friends, saying that they wouldn’t do that considering the protection they had given Sildar in the past. He created a distraction, pulling aside the local guards and sent the heroes along to Wave Echo Cave, saying that he would meet up with them later.

The party followed the map to the hidden entrance to the long forgotten Wave Echo Cave, and very quickly found the corpse of Tharden the brother of Gundren, long since killed and left at a small base camp stocked with various mining supplies.

The cave was massive, and the sound of waves echoing in the distance explained its name. An amber slime ambushed the group, slinking through the labyrinthine tunnels of the cave system. And they soon found themselves fighting a duplicating foe that absorbed their blows, but was no match for their combined might. They also discovered a barracks filled with bugbears, and in the midst of their desperate battle, Sildar appeared, brandishing a wand and blasting Troy with a lightning bolt that obliterated his body completely.

Only with the combined powers of Naegen’s prophecies and Eyvanna’s divine awareness of the spirit realm were they able to pull Troy’s spirit from the brink of oblivion. Now they were left with another problem, Troy had nothing to house his drifting spirit.
