As promised, a little something to incorporate into your daily exercise routine whilst on lockdown.

Points to note: be mindful of your knees, do not allow them to collapse inwards.

If you find it too difficult to swap legs, simply sit in this position for maybe 10 or 20 seconds and then stand up and shake your legs out. It is a very intense stretch in its own right.

Although this really targets your lower legs, you will still be using your quads, hip flexors and other core stabilisers to maintain the positions. Remember to enjoy the journey...this is not a race.

If you are working towards the pistol squat then this is a fabulous exercise to include in your training.

Remember to breathe and stay safe.
