ASMR | It’s time for another school year! 🥹📚 Today we’re getting ready for my kids’ first day of school by baking a batch of warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies together.

Join me for a quiet, cozy, soft-spoken baking session filled with gentle talking, mixing, measuring, whisking, scooping cookie dough, and all those satisfying little kitchen sounds. There’s something so special about making a homemade treat for your kids as they head into a brand-new school year. 🤎

These are the perfect soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies to have waiting for everyone after that first day back!

🍪 SOFT & CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Ingredients:

* 3/4 cup butter, softened
*3/4cup brown sugar
* 1/4cup granulated sugar
* 1 eggs
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 2 tap cornstarch
* ½ teaspoon salt
* 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
7. Scoop the dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
8. Bake for about 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a rack.
