ASMR: Sleep Paralysis, Folklore & My Experience | Ear-to-ear Whispering
Sleep paralysis is, in essence, how it sounds. One, upon waking or going to sleep, finds themselves unable to move. Sleep paralysis is this fascinating phenomenon associated with REM sleep, and sometimes is accompanied by strange and frequently fear-inducing hallucinations.
Throughout history, we've rationalised these experiences through different supernatural folkloric explanations. I hope that you find this video interesting, this reading relaxing, and though the topic might be a bit spooky, I hope that it still puts you at ease.
With love,
Harry

What is ASMR?
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a pleasant physical sensation that can be triggered by various stimuli. ASMR videos, therefore, focus on creating an environment conducive to helping you experience ASMR.
ASMR is a unique and scientifically established feeling that some people experience. It is often described as a tingling sensation on the skin of the scalp and back of the neck, and is usually accompanied by an increased sense of relaxation, sleepiness, or focus. ASMR videos are used in many ways, commonly as study aids, sleep aids, and comfort for anxiety.
