Ep. 8 Write-up:
Eyvanna found herself in the bedroom of Mayor Harbin Wester, who immediately ordered her arrest. The towns militia weren’t quite sure what to do with the unruly adventurer, who sullenly refused to go along to jail quietly. They convinced Eyvanna to stay put for a short while in the local jail, while they fetched Sildar Hallwinter to sort out Harbin’s complaints. While imprisoned, Eyvanna speaks to an orc captive named Gratak, who senses her connection with the orc spirits, and offers to help her with her journey. Unfortunately for her, the blood ritual she was performing seemed fated to be lethal, as the recent effect of the tome of uncertainty would cause her sudden demise. Standing in an ethereal realm, above her own body, she was faced with a circle of her own ghostly ancestors.

Meanwhile in Neverwinter, the remaining adventurers resolved to rest up while they puzzled out how they were going to retrieve Eyvanna from her sudden exodus. Naegin was approached by a previous acquaintance from the court, a now homeless drifter who goes by the name Bandana Paul. Paul begged for his help, as the homeless were being abducted by creatures in the poorest alleys of Neverwinter. Naegin agreed to help, though he requested that Paul either make him a piece of armour, or give up his trademark bandana after the deed was done.

Troy, Naegin and Daelin resolved to set a trap for the creature, dressing Troy up as bait and waiting for it to strike. It didn’t take long before a pair of goblinoids, waving too many arms and screeching mindless hate, pulled themselves from the filth of the Neverwinter alleys to attack Troy and the adventurers. Unholy creations of magic, the abominations resembled a mish mash of multiple goblins that sent Troy into a frenzy.

Daelin watched horrified as his soft spoken goblin friend flung himself onto one of the creatures, and began to cackle darkly.
Eyvanna battled one of her ancestors, a half orc named Sten Doomwhisper, at the urging of the orc shaman. This was a battle to determine her spirit guardian, a permanent ally in the spirit realm for her journey, and hopefully someone who could assist her in returning from the shadowed spirit paths.

Forging a permanent pact with Sten, Eyvanna was pulled to an endless road, packed with the spirits of countless orcs. In the midst of the group’s battle with the goblinoids Eyvanna could feel the tug of her friends, and with a flash of light from the Tome of Uncertainty, was pulled back into Neverwinter with new strange powers filling her.

With the trio reunited, the remaining creature was quick to fall. While the adventurers had their questions about the rebirth of Eyvanna, and Troy’s attitude during the fight, the shadow of Thundertree looms on the horizon.
