It's about 1:10pm so the lunch rush has cleaned out the shelves. Slim pickings for Tomoko!
Tomoko is 不満足 fumanzoku = unsatisfied.
T: Let's go look at the 弁当 bentō ＝box lunch. (⬅MUST know Japanese.)
Japanese tend to say "sarada" when they mean to say "salad" -- even when they speak English.
T: 美味しそう！Oishisou! = Looks delicious! (⬅MUST know Japanese.)
高い！Takai! ＝Expensive!
これ見て。Kore mite = Look at this!
Almost $US 6.00 for about 9 イチゴ ichigo = strawberries!
口ひげ kuchi hige = mustache
T: じゃ、これ買う! Ja, kore kau! = OK, I'll buy this!
T: やっぱり、おにぎり。Yappari, onigiri. = Just as I thought, rice ball!
T: お昼ご飯! Ohiru gohan! = Lunch!
V loves the 肉まん nikuman = steamed meat filled bun
T: 甘いものと辛いものと。。。後飲み物. Karai mono to amai mono to... ato nomimono.=Something spicy, something sweet...then a drink.
T:夜はきちんとね、野菜も肉も食べます。
Yoru wa kichinto ne, yasaimo nikumo tabemasu. =At night she eats properly, vegetables & meat.
T: お昼はこれでいいの。Ohiru wa kore de ii no.= For lunch, this is fine.
