The Man with the Iron Lung (Polio Survivor) - People Worth Knowing

"People Worth Knowing" is a series of videos I have decided to create. Ever since I could think for myself, my dream has been to make the world a better place. While this journey begins at home, my passion for recording videos has led me to realize the importance of creating a series where I can introduce someone worth knowing about each week. I aim to showcase individuals who make a difference in this world, someone inspiring and impactful.

Today, I am thrilled to introduce you to Paul Alexander, a remarkable individual. Paul is a polio survivor, but he has not let this challenge define his life. Instead, he has forged his own path, becoming a self-made lawyer and writer. His story is one of resilience, determination, and the relentless pursuit of his dreams. Through his experiences and achievements, Paul serves as a shining example of the strength of the human spirit.

Whilst creating this video I found out that Paul had a lot of money stolen from him from those that were supposed to provide care and a fundraiser has been created to help support him. He struggles to maintain his iron lung, afford healthcare, and find housing that accommodates his needs. He lives in a one bedroom apartment without a window which he would obviously love since he spends all day in his iron lung.
