One of the strangest soccer matches ever played took place in 1994, when Barbados faced Grenada in Caribbean Cup qualifying.
In this soft-spoken ASMR sports story, we look at the bizarre “two-goal” golden-goal rule that led one team to deliberately score an own goal... and then defend both nets at the same time! It’s a wonderfully chaotic piece of football history and a perfect example of what happens when a poorly designed rule gives players a very strange incentive.
