ASMR Reading The Continuum Concept - Tribe Life & Childrearing

Today I share some thoughts with you from the controversial book the Continuum Concept…. Which begs the question, are we behind in the West, or further ahead?

Personally, I think both sides can learn from each other, but there are some things that we do in the West (money fuelled things mainly), that are slightly behind when it comes to the emotional and mental maturity that is displayed in some of these South American tribes. Who says that “civilization” actually means as much as we think it does.

I think some of these issues we face go further back than we realize, but they especially became widespread when the Europeans came to North America, massacring the buffalo, and placing native Americans in camps - missing out on the value that these people could share and instead dominating the “land” (pachamama) so that no teachings could be garnered since no one was listening!
