The Amber Room was an extraordinary artistic work. It was a chamber adorned with amber, gold and mirrors. It is considered by many to be priceless.
During the Second World War, the seizure of important pieces of art was an important goal of Nazi Germany. The Amber Room was looted, transported to Königsberg, and eventually, for disputed reasons, disappeared.
