💡 MY OWN FORMULA LANGUAGE

I often compare formulation to seasoning a dish: each head of hair needs its own balance. My “seasoning” is a metaphor for professional judgment—considering hair history, condition, formula strength, timing, and strand-test results together. pH is one part of that picture.

This preparation is a crucial foundation for the pressing stage. The hair needs an appropriate chemical response before heat shaping; extra heat cannot simply make up for insufficient preparation.

Learn to read the hair, beyond how it looks. Follow the product system’s directions, assess different sections, and use strand tests and detailed records to guide your decisions. Healthy-looking hair still deserves an individual assessment.
