Hair Straightening ASMR | An Hour Away, A Smile Worth the Journey

She travels an hour to my salon and has long trusted me with straightening and dark brown color. Today, she booked both services. Happy with the soft finish, she continued with root color. This video follows the straightening; root color will be shared separately.

My Own Formula Language
Beautiful movement begins with chemical preparation. I assess roots, mid-lengths and ends separately, tailoring compatible mixing ratios and timing to each zone. My ratios are my working language, not pH readings.

For previously treated lengths, I choose gentler formulations, including lower pH where appropriate within the product system. Previously treated hair may need less strength than its texture suggests. Excessive processing can leave hair feeling increasingly rough over time. I aim for softness beyond the salon visit.

Pro Tip for Hairstylists
Let strand tests refine your first impression. Consider pH, reducing strength, elasticity and processing time together; use manufacturer-supported combinations. Carry that care through iron temperature, tension and neutralization.

Her hour-long journey brings trust into my hands. I want her to leave with a smile, feeling that her time and her hair were cared for. After 27 years, that still means everything.
