"13 years after the Cordyceps Brain Infection outbreak of 2013, and about 7 years prior to the events that took place surrounding Joel & Ellie, you find yourself as a resident within the Philadelphia FEDRA Quarantine Zone, not long after the Pittsburgh quarantine zone fell.

You have returned back from a recent excursion outside of the quarantine zone, where you had an encounter that may have left you infected. You have made an appointment at a local infirmary to see one Doctor Lewis (a trained civilian) who performs a series of physical exams to determine if you are indeed infected with CBI.

As the doctor arrives at his conclusion, however, it seems that there is much more to you than meets the eye. Dr. Lewis would very much like for you to travel north to meet a distinguished gentlemen that runs a state of the art facility in an old Massachusetts town south of the Boston Quaratine Zone.

But first, it's time to tend to your wounds and for you to get your sleep..."

Apologies for the muffled voice due to the mask. Subtitles have been added!

What is ASMR? It is both a sensation and a medium.

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current, non-scientific name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps, but much more pleasant.

ASMR videos are meant to intentionally help induce this sensation, also referred to as "tingles", but also provide a relaxing, calming, soothing, therapeutic and even entertaining experience for the viewer.

Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect.
