Ep 5 Write-up:
The adventurers discovered the body of Mosk just outside the doors of Tresender Manor, taking his assorted valuables before heading back to the stonehill inn. The group did some more shopping and met back up with Sildar, letting him know about their scuffles with the bandits in the manor. He invited them to the town hall in the morning to pay them for their troubles. Eyvanna got a new nose piercing, though she quickly found out it was a piece of wood plated with gold. Naegin told an extremely long story at the inn, which drew many rapt listeners. Daelin meanwhile finished constructing his robot guardian, the Hercules beetle named Buttons.

They went the next day to the town hall, and met the odious mayor of Phandalin, Harbin, who was being pressured by Sildar to pay the adventurers for their help. After reluctantly paying them, he also tasked them with hunting down the orcs who were raiding on the eastern end of the Tri-Boar trail.

The party bravely returned to the depths below Tresender Manor to hunt down Fletch, who taunted them from the shadows, it seemed they would have no luck tracking the stealthy creature down, until Eyvanna spotted him in the shadows far above, his luminous eyes glinting in the dark. There was a pitched battle, the dread gaze of Fletch drawing life from the party bit by bit. After their victory, they found Fletch’s pit littered with the bodies of slain bandits and townspeople, and the missing goblin Droop.

Among the scavenged possessions they found the magic sword, Talon, and a wedding ring from Mirna’s slain husband. The group buried Droop and returned to town, leaving the ring and some of their possessions with the grateful family who they had previously rescued, who turned out to be the local woodworkers.

After briefly considering the merits of owning their own business, the adventurers set out to Thundertree by way of Neverwinter, back along the roads to the north. Their travels began with an ambush by a very unlucky band of goblins, two of whom became semi-unwilling guests of the group. The goblin Drat told them the way to Cragmaw castle, while the other, Troy, was knocked unconscious.
