Ep. 9 Write-up:
Our heroes rested up and set out for the town of Thundertree, in their journey to retake a family heirloom from the ruined village. After a rather uneventful ride through the woods to the town, they settled in just outside of town and set up camp. Unfortunately, due to intervention by the Tome of Uncertainty, the undead from the surrounding area moved to attack them. Eyvanna had a close call during the battle, but they soon dispatched their foes.
Moving into the village proper, a prominent sign hung at the roadside, warning travellers about undead and plant monsters. Our heroes fought both as they began to explore the village, finding tumbledown ruins and overgrowth claiming everything. The town was filled with ash zombies, a remnant of the eruption of Mount Hotenow to the north, many years past.
There was no sign of the apothecary they were looking for, but the party did find the ravaged bodies of several giant spiders. Naegin, experiencing a psychic bond with a mysterious person, led the party to the door of the druid Reidoth. The druid warned the party away from the central tower in Thundertree, as a green dragon had taken up residence. He told the adventurers the general area to search for the apothecary, and requested they dispatch of some dragon cultists on the east side of town…
