Q: What is a bothy?
A: A bothy is a Scots word (that comes from the Gàidhlig (Scots Gaelic) word 'bothan', which means a hut or cottage) for a remote place of shelter. There are many bothies dotted around Scotland, especially in the the Highlands for anyone to use who needs a place of safety or shelter from the Scottish weather or a place to stay while hiking. Similarly, I hope this channel can be your safe place to retreat to where you can find comfort and rest. 💗
