Ep 16 Write-up:
Daelin was able to salvage scrap from nearby in order to create a constructed body to house Troy’s spirit. After settling into his new form, Troy asked about Drat, whose spirit was no longer with him, but there was no sign of the missing goblin.
The heroes continued deeper into Wave Echo Cave, but as they entered a massive smelter chamber they were beset by the rising dead and a flaming skull guardian whose magical flames powered the furnace taking up much of the cavern. This battle took them to the brink of defeat, as Troy battled without the assistance of Drat’s spirit powers and the vicious dwarven zombies began to swarm the beleaguered party.
The cave’s dangers didn’t end there, as a pack of ghouls got the drop on Daelin, who narrowly escaped the rushing horde. A long abandoned dining hall now housing the lithe undead creatures as a different kind of dinner guest.
Our heroes resolved to find a safe space to rest and tend their wounds, before the darkness of the cave engulfed them.
