Space Cruise: Generation Ships (ASMR Science Bedtime Story)

Important note: following a recent change of policy at YouTube, I can no longer disable ads at the beginning of new videos (which is bad) nor at the end (which is way worse). I am truly sorry for that. This is not the policy I would like to have and YouTube has forced me to break a years-long promise that there would be no ads on my videos. There is nothing I can do about it: if I demonetize the video, they will put mid-rolls on top of the pre- and post-rolls, which would make it even worse and totally unwatchable.
The only good news is that all my older videos were not impacted by this policy change (at least for now,), so for the time being you can still watch them without ads. In this soft spoken bedtime story, I tell you about the concept of "generation ships": large spacecrafts that would transport dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people to faraway destinations in the galaxy, over several generations. Even though we are nowhere near seeing one, the technical, biological and social aspects of such a project are fascinating. So I review them to explain the main challenges and what possible solutions could be found.
