Here is part 2 of the Midwife Series...
Lovely to see you again. How have you been feeling since we first met? I will have a catch up with you, discuss any symptoms you may be experiencing & answer any of your questions. I will carry out a urine sample, a blood test & have a good feel of your tummy. I will also take some measurements of your bump. We will then have a good listen to your baby's heartbeat. What is ASMR?
Autonomous sensory meridian response, sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
