ASMR Irish Mythology | The Destruction of Dá Derga’s Hostel (Soft Irish Accent)

Tonight, settle in for a 90-minute ASMR retelling of The Destruction of Dá Derga’s Hostel, one of the darkest and most atmospheric stories in Irish mythology.

In this softly whispered Irish mythology sleep story, we follow Conaire Mór, the High King of Ireland, whose peaceful reign depends upon a series of sacred prohibitions known as geasa. As strange omens gather around him, three mysterious red riders, a woman waiting in the darkness and an army quietly surrounding the hostel, Conaire is drawn towards a final night from which there may be no escape.

Featuring detailed storytelling, a soft Irish accent, gentle repetition and atmospheric descriptions of ancient roads, crackling fires, supernatural visitors and shadowed halls, this video is intended to help you relax, unwind and drift towards sleep.

- It's a really good read and has so much more detail than I was able to realistically put in, so a good few bits were cut out and adapted to make it more atmospheric and tingly for ASMR, but I would genuinely encourage you to have a look (and it has the Irish text which is translated, which is really cool!)
