ASMR baking chewy chocolate chip cookies

hope you are all staying safe and healthy! i figured we will all have more time in the coming weeks to experiment with cooking and baking, so why not try out a DELICIOUS chocolate chip cookie recipe, great with a scoop of ice cream on top 🍪🍨

this recipe is mostly the same as Joshua Weissman’s (https://youtu.be/wyuec0PPz68) except I added walnuts and browned the butter instead of melting:

1/2 cup browned butter
3/4 cup + 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 whole egg + 1 egg yolk
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp flaky salt + more for on top
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 dark chocolate bar, roughly chopped
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
cover + chill for 45+ mins
bake @ 350 degrees for 12-15 mins
