ASMR Ear Massage in Ocean Fog | Sand Crunching, Whispering, Ear Blowing [Binaural]

Hello my little Night Owl's.
This video was easily the most pleasant and relaxing experience I have ever had whilst recording. It was a spare of the moment decision when we saw the sign for a lighthouse on our journey through Maine. When we arrived we were astounded by the serenity of the scene. A seemingly endless path into the water looked like an image from a Stephen King novel or like a cover for a "motivational quote" calendar haha. The walk along the 19th Century break water was 7/8 of a mile and at the end we were greeted by a white building and the Rockland lighthouse on looking the Atlantic Ocean. I then returned to the minivan to collect my audio recording equipment and sat on a raft to record a few shots (that's why in two of the videos the camera appears to be bobbing up and down :) ). Then my partner pointed out that the sound of the waves "were the most ASMR thing that has ever ASMR'd" (his words not mine haha). So I sat there for a while as the sun set, watch the common shore crabs scuttle over my feet, the sandpipers pecking at seaweed and the waves calmly hitting the tiny pebbles on the shore. The thing is, if the weather was perfect it would not have been as intriguing. This is probably why I like imperfect weather (much like imperfections in life) it just makes life that little bit more intriguing.
Anyway, I ramble! I hope that you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed creating it.

What is ASMR?

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It is a very technical term for a very simple feeling. Most people experience ASMR when they are a child from Chinese whispers (as we called them), a teacher showing you something in class to a trip to a spa or hairdressers. There are thousands; maybe even millions of different triggers out there tailored with different types of Visual, Auditory and Chemical stimuli.

It is often described as a tingling sensation from your head that tends to travel all through your body (if you're lucky enough)! Although very little scientific research has gone into the study of ASMR, thousands of people have admitted that it helps them in reducing stress/ anxiety levels, insomnia and their general mood outlet.

I believe this is because of the types of hormones that are being released by the brain as an innate survival technique from stressful situations. Sort of like the opposite to a 'fight or flight' response. However I am not a scientist by any standards! ASMR cannot replace any serious condition and for this I would visit your local medical practitioner. Yet it still never fails in helping thousands of people everyday. And that is why I love it.
