Facts I accidentally cut out:
1) Nicholas II's son was named Alexei.
2) Nicholas II is known posthumously as "Nicholas the Passion-Bearer."
3) By "self-important," I mean that Tsar Nicholas was at least a little influenced by his father's distaste for the Russian royal family's generational penchant for extravagance!
4) Feudal-era Serbia comprised modern-day Macedonia & Montenegro, like I said... as well as Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Kosovo, & Herzegovina.
