I think I speak for a very large amount of ASMR viewers when I say that ASMR has brought comfort in times where ‘happiness’ was not an emotion you were feeling in the moment. For me, it has gotten me through nights filled with panic attacks and restlessness, days of headaches and sadness. It brings me comfort and peace, which is why I’m here, hoping to do the same for you.

Lilywhispers made a video several years ago reading a list: ‘things that make you happy’. I think the video is privated now, but it has stuck with me ever since. I've watched it about 200 times. (I'll add the link here when it's available!)

I hope you can see this as a gentle reminder that happiness can be found in the littlest of things. And if you cannot see or feel that now, or even haven’t felt that for a long time. Please believe that it will come again for you. I promise you it will. I wish you all the happiness, I truly do.

For now, get into your most comfortable position, make sure that, if you’re going to sleep, that you’ve taken care of every thing you need to take care of. Candles off, pets fed, medication taken, blinds closed, alarms set, phone charging. Gently relax your forehead, your eyebrows, soften your gaze, unclench your jaw and let your shoulders drop.
