Frankenstein Chapter 9 (ASMR Audiobook)

Today I am softly reading to you the ninth chapter of Frankenstein. This chapter has interesting pace compared to those previous. The calm after the calamity, Frankenstein experiences an almost meditative state.

I wonder how often you yourself feel this aura of calm? Almost existential in nature Frankenstein still reels over the angst of years spent with good intentions to create something so evil, and damaging. How dreadfully ironic that the fruit of his hard work ended up so rotten.

Its a harsh lesson that sometimes even with our best efforts and intentions, things can go very, very wrong. Wisdom is required to operate as a moral being, not only power; this lesson attests to that.
