In this video I am going to show you a 5 step programme to help you to deal with anger.

Anger can be a very unpleasant emotion, both to experience and to be on the receiving end of. It can irreparably damage relationships and reputations and led to anxiety, depression and more anger. However, anger serves a really important function, it alerts us to mistreatment so it is vital to our survival. This means that we can’t get rid of anger, instead we must learn to understand it, control it and express it better. This programme will help you to do that. Here are the basics:
1. Remove yourself from the source of your anger
2. Identify the thoughts that have triggered your anger
3. Work out if your anger is a cover for another emotion
4. If your anger is ‘pure’ and alerting you to mistreatment get the support you need to keep yourself save
5. If you anger is a cover for anxiety or depression, deal with these underlying emotions using either self help resources or seek professional help in the form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
