This is my favorite excerpt of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I really like the atmosphere when Dumbledore and Harry are about to get into the cave where Voldemort hides his Horcrux. Dumbledore uses magic to help him find his way to the Horcrux.
They arrive at a little alcove in the cave, and Dumbledore identifies a doorway hidden in the cave's wall. Dumbledore sacrifices some of his blood to the wall, and the door reveals itself and opens.
Once inside, Harry and Dumbledore find a massive, pitch-black lake. The only light comes from a little green glow that sits on an island in the middle of the lake. This, Dumbledore believes, is the Horcrux...

Hier ist mein Lieblingsauszug aus "Harry Potter und der Halbblutprinz". Harry und Dumbledore kommen auf einer für Muggel fast unzugänglichen Felsklippe an, klettern an ihrer steilen Wand hinab, schwimmen durch einen eisigen Felskanal und gelangen schließlich an Felsstufen zu einer Höhle. Schon im Eingangsbereich fangen die Hindernisse an, die nicht die Natur, sondern Voldemort selbst errichtet hat, um seinen Horkrux unerreichbar zu machen. Dumbledore spürt in der Felswand einen magischen Durchgang auf, der zu dem eigentlichen Innenraum der Höhle führt. Die Felswand öffnet sich erst zu einem Torbogen, nachdem er einen Blutzoll entrichtet hat. Drinnen ist ein riesiger schwarzer See mit einer kleinen Felsinsel in seiner Mitte. Von dieser Insel aus verbreitet sich das einzige Licht in der Höhle: ein gespenstisches grünes Leuchten. Wie Dumbledore erklärt, ist dort der Horkrux zu finden...
