Transcript:

Hello everyone. You may have noticed that there are no longer any videos on my channel.

Before explaining why I deleted my videos and why I didn’t give a warning, I would like to thank you.

I’m grateful to my very friendly viewers who have subscribed, liked and commented on my videos, visited me at my Twitch streams, and supported me through Patreon. I’ve had a lot of fun times interacting with you. I can even call some of you my friends.

This will be the last video on the threemilk YouTube channel, and I will no longer be using any of my threemilk social media accounts.

As some of you know, my channel has attracted a great deal of negative attention from internet bullies as well as obsessive “fans.” I had hoped that over time most of these viewers would lose interest and I would no longer have to worry so much about my privacy and personal reputation. Unfortunately, this has not been the case and I continue to receive harassment.

To avoid ending up in my position, I would advise anyone who enjoys social media to be careful to protect their privacy. You may have good intentions, but not everybody does. Your content can be stolen and twisted. Even harmless content may be used to objectify and bully you. Don’t be afraid, but do be aware.

I would have liked to warn my viewers about my channel deletion, but due to concerns about facing a flood of harassment I chose to explain after the fact. I gave this decision careful thought and I hope you understand.

Another reason I have chosen to end my channel is because I find it hard to express myself clearly through YouTube vlog style videos. I always try to be honest, but despite my efforts, I feel as though I am being somehow disingenuous. My videos aren’t an accurate representation of who I am as a person. They are things I created with good intentions, but they’re not me. Knowing someone by talking to them personally is difficult. Knowing someone by watching a vlog is impossible.

On a lighter note, I have naturally outgrown my channel over time. I enjoy creative work and by ending my channel I will have more freedom to work on new projects without being hassled by bullies or pidgeon-holed into a YouTube genre. I'm looking forward to trying new things in the future. Although I did have some struggle with my channel, I don't regret "threemilk," nor am I discouraged from pursuing any creative ideas.

I hope my kind viewers are also feeling brave and motivated to chase their dreams in the midst of any obstacles. Be nice and have fun everyone :)

More about what will happen with my social media:

Starting on Saturday, February 24th, at 4 PM CT, I will be streaming for 24 hours on my Twitch channel as a goodbye celebration. After the 24 hour stream, there will be big changes. I will be streaming only once a month, and my friend Haley will begin streaming on the channel, more regularly than me. When neither of us is online, guest streamers may appear.

My Discord will not be deleted, and I may visit there occasionally.

My Instagram is empty, and I will not be posting any more pictures there.

My Twitter is also empty, but I may still use it to update about streams.

I will be deleting my Patreon account soon. Patrons, please see my Patreon page for more information. I will complete all rewards by the end of this month, but I won't accept any more pledges, new or ongoing.

Conclusion:

Thank you again for all your support. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments section of this video. I will not be answering questions through private messages on any platform.

Enjoy the rest of your year!
