ASMR~Paint With Water! Whispered Life Chat! Paper Crinkles! Paint Brush Rummage! Clinking Glass!
A subscriber sent these sweet "paint with Water" booklets and I just had to share the experience of painting in them. The opportunity to talk with you all about various things was timely. I talk about my parents, my siblings and my cat..etc. All very mundane and meant to help you sleep. The extra sounds accompany thing this is the glass beads clinking against the bowl as I rinse my brush. There is also the gentle clicking of the paint brushes as I choose different ones to use. There is also a light sound of flickering flames from the candles. Ice in my drinking cup. Oh so many gentle sounds of ASMR.

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.
Autonomous: Self governed.
Sensory: Perceived with the senses.
Meridian: Point of greatest splendor or vigor.
Response: Reply or reaction.
Based on literal definition, ASMR is completely subjective and based on an individual response to our senses, including sound. One cannot say, "this or that is not ASMR", to any sound. In the very same way that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
