This one's from a little over a year ago now. I do like it in it's written format so that's below if you wanna see.

The video footage is creative commons and the poem and instrumentals are mine.

Sails Set South:

I’m staring straight into space when I land on your angel face
You’re talking like burning and even sitting still I can see the wheels turning, well
I’ve got a heart that swells when I witness
Poetry in motion, you do it fast then do it slow then
My mantra is “eyes shut! HEART open.”

My pulse is like a drag race
I’m lovely, nowadays but
I’m not the better of us two—
I’ll show if you’ve got room

My pulse is like a skip of stones
I’m blue like new snow And sparkin’ like a light bulb

You say you want a girl
Well, whatever for?
Babe, if I were you, I’d ask me for the wo-o-o-orld

My heartbeat is a falling row of dominos
I’m broke like my stereo
And maybe God is dead
But baby I’m not yet

If we’re clocked in and running, I’d rather be flyin’ than gunnin’
Broken in leather and music to make you clever

I’m staring straight into space thinking of nothing but your grace
I don’t want get famous anymore, I don’t want to see hazy anymore, don’t want to play the chase anymore
Would you resign me without the encore?
It’s early but I’m yawning, the night’s picking up like a storm but I haven’t got in in me, haven’t got that shaking soul to bear tonight
My soul is gonna rest tonight, lay me down in bed sheets white…
