ASMR Feeding you Cake! Eating sounds, Crinkles, Role play [Time Travel series | Gluttony]

Hello my little Night Owl's.
Although historically inaccurate, I thought that I would choose Marie Antoinette as an example of Gluttony based on her excessive collection of clothing. The statement "let them eat cake" was a misattributed quote and "let them eat brioche" was actually announced by the wife of Louis XIV. The French revolution caused high tension within royalty and the general public despised Marie Antoinette due to her oppulent lifestyle. This distaste typically results in rumours and falsehoods, perpetuated by the peasantry as truths. It is because of these rumours that even today, a large amount of people assume that Marie Antoinette was only famous for telling the starving French public to eat cake.

During the revolution, the royal family was placed under arrest and in 1792, the monarchy was abolished. Following a two day trial, Marie was convicted of high treason and executed by Guillotine on the Place de la Révolution on 16th October 1793.

Although it may seem as though I am perpetuating a myth by making this role play, I hope that this description offers some explanation in order to dispel these beliefs. I just wanted to have a little fun with each of these characters really. I hope that you're all having an absolutely wonderful day and I'll see you all again very soon!

What is ASMR?

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It is a very technical term for a very simple feeling. Most people experience ASMR when they are a child from Chinese whispers (as we called them), a teacher showing you something in class to a trip to a spa or hairdressers. There are thousands; maybe even millions of different triggers out there tailored with different types of Visual, Auditory and Chemical stimuli.

It is often described as a tingling sensation from your head that tends to travel all through your body (if you're lucky enough)! Although very little scientific research has gone into the study of ASMR, thousands of people have admitted that it helps them in reducing stress/ anxiety levels, insomnia and their general mood outlet.

I believe this is because of the types of hormones that are being released by the brain as an innate survival technique from stressful situations. Sort of like the opposite to a 'fight or flight' response. However I am not a scientist by any standards! ASMR cannot replace any serious condition and for this I would visit your local medical practitioner. Yet it still never fails in helping thousands of people everyday. And that is why I love it.
