Hiya! Come get measured - I use a thin metal measuring tape that makes all sorts of little clicky & rolling noises. I'll start with measuring all around your ears, then move on to your face, and finish with your neck! I'll chat a bit throughout, but don't feel like you need to say anything back :)

I filmed this video before Turning Red came out, so imagine my surprise when I spent a good portion of the video talking about my mantra, "Don't kill the part of you that is cringe, kill that part of you that cringes," and now the whole Twitter TL is filled with the same discussion because of the movie hahah. It was an awesome coincidence, and I hope that really just drives the point home that everyone is at least a little cringe, and life is often better when one embraces said cringe rather than pretending it doesn't exist :D

- “Why do you ask for a preferred name & address?” While I'm a cisgender woman, I'm very aware of my audience having members that don't use their 'legal' names (I'm one of them) and use specific pronouns, or are questioning their names and given pronouns. It's just common courtesy to make everyone more comfortable here. Even if it doesn't apply to you, it may apply to others and makes the world of difference.
- “Why do you ask for consent to touch (even if it's a given)?” Coooommon courtesy; big thing with me. I hate being touched by anyone I don't know, but being asked even if I know I'm going to have to anyway is much more comfortable than someone putting their paws on me without warning. Common courtesy.
- “Is your name really Calliope? How do you say it?” Yup. It's pronounced Ka-Lie-Oh-Pee, not Kal-Ee-Ope.
