I am so glad that I can finally share this custom video, requested by the amazing iast, with all of you. In this video, the May Queen of the Edinburgh Beltane Fire Festival prepares you by painting your face and adorning you with jewellery.
Beltane is the festival of May day where communities in Scotland, Ireland, and Isle of Man would light bonfires and take their cattle around them to wish for a fertile summer. The fire festival in Edinburgh has been celebrated since 1988 as a modern performing arts piece. I've never been myself but I love the makeup, costuming and overall aesthetic of the event.
