Having a "limpia espiritual" or spiritual cleansing is an ancient part of Ecuadorian culture. The healer explains why she uses chili pepper (ají) as well as the significance of spitting or "blowing" her remedies.
This "limpia" or spiritual cleansing was done at the 12 de Abril market in Cuenca, Ecuador.
