This longtime client moved away, and the distance made regular visits a little harder. After several years, she booked with me again—with one wish: to enjoy that beautifully soft feeling she remembered.

Today, I created a personalized rod perm with softness, spring, and natural movement in mind. Rod placement, formula selection, and processing time all came together for curls that felt wonderfully soft to the touch.

Every beautiful perm begins with reading the hair.

Fresh roots and previously treated lengths can have different needs. I assess each section’s condition, treatment history, and response, then select suitable formulas and processing times.

I bring the same attention to both rod perms and chemical straightening: understand the hair first, then tailor the process.

I think of formulation a little like seasoning a beautiful meal. The right balance brings everything together. With hair, that balance includes pH, the strength of the formula, the condition of each section, and careful timing.

Over years of practice, I have built my own formulation records—learning from each client and refining the details for their next visit.
